About Us

Recognizing the need for a real top quality utility equipment dealer, Southwest Equipment opened for business in early 1995, in Odessa, Texas. In 1999, a second location was opened for the Dallas area and a branch office was opened at 401 E. Hwy 121 in Lewisville, Texas. In 2001, the complete operation was moved from Odessa to the Lewisville location on Hwy 121. After outgrowing that facility, we then moved to our new location at 1706 N. Stemmons Freeway (I-35) in Lewisville in early 2006. Our president, Russ Bradshaw, has fourteen years of hands-on experience with bucket trucks, digger derricks, and utility equipment. Mr. Bradshaw earned his experience in power line construction from his occupation as a 50% owner in a power line and electrical construction company in West Texas from 1981 until 1995, when he sold his interest in the company to focus on a new one featuring top quality used bucket trucks and used bucket sales - Southwest Equipment!
